Programme Highlights

In a world where decision-making is increasingly influenced by data, it is important to understand how spatial data science can help.

Spatial data science is a subset of data science. It’s where data science intersects with GIS with a key focus on geospatial data and new computing techniques. Location matters in data science using statistical computing to access, manipulate, explore, and visualize data.

In this lecture, we will focus on:
  • 3D Visualization with Spatial Data for 5G Planning
  • Websites Auto-tagging Algorithm for eCommerce
  • Key takeaways in AI/ML, Big Data, and Automation

Mr Alex Zhang & Dr Chung Ng 

 
Mr Alex Zhang joined HKT in March 2021 as Head of Data Science in HKT’s loyalty program and digital ventures arm, The Club. He is responsible for developing new analytic products and platforms to support The Club’s business partners within the loyalty and digital ecosystem by utilizing both telecom and partners’ data asset.

Dr Chung is a SVP at Group CTO Office of the HKT/PCCW Group, where he’s responsible for leading the group’s product and technology roadmap and strategic development. He also represents the group as a board member of Lynx Analytics and Bindo Labs.
