Programme highlights
REACH Satellite Earth Station, located at Stanley Peninsular behind the army site, serves as a major Satellite Earth Station to serve Hong Kong since 1969. It is the largest Teleport in Asia consisting of more than 30 antennae range from 4.5 to 30 meters for international telecommunication purpose.
This technical visit will be divided into two parts:-
Part 1 – Brief Introduction on the satellite transmission.
Part 2 - Tour visit around the site close to satellite antenna and transmission equipment and to the control building and Master Control Centers at console area.

This technical visit is free of charge. Number of participant is limited to 40 and applications will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis. As the site is in restricted area, successful applicants are required to enter their exact names in Chinese and English name and HKID number for the Permit application purpose. All information will be disposed after the date of this technical visit.
For registration, please apply on or before 15 Jan 2019 via the website of IT Division (http://it.hkie.org.hk). Successful applicants will be notified through on or before 16 Jan 2019 to inform the place of gathering. Applicants are required to bring their HKID for verification purpose before entering the restricted area.
