Programme Highlights:

Machine Learning is the core subarea of artificial intelligence. It makes computers get into a self-learning mode without explicit programming. When fed new data, these computers learn, grow, change, and develop by themselves.

The concept of machine learning has been around for a while now. This seminar will introduce in the following area:

- Machine Learning and Big Data 101

- Use cases in Smart Building, Smart Shopping, Smart Mobility etc

- How does 5G empower AI/ML-driven use cases?

Dr. Chung Ng

Dr. Chung Ng is a SVP at Group CTO Office of PCCW-HKT, where he leads technology and strategy development. Before PCCW-HKT, Chung contributed to the Big Data/AI strategy at Telstra as well as its international growth strategy (including submarine cable business). He received his DPhil in Information Engineering from the University of Oxford and held the Croucher Foundation Scholarship to work toward his research degree in wireless ad-hoc networks.
