(Organized by City University of Hong Kong)
To enhance the core competitiveness of Hong Kong on an international scale, the government is actively working on promoting the innovation and technology development. STEM, which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, is a curriculum designed for teaching and learning in an applied and interdisciplinary approach.
The four disciplines can be integrated into a comprehensive learning model by applying the knowledge acquired in class. In addition to equipping students with knowledge and skills, the learning model also promotes an interdisciplinary approach for students to apply them in different areas of learning. With organizing different kinds of competitions, a more comprehensive learning style can be built up and further promote the STEM education.
