Mini Robocon Hong Kong, an annual robotics competition targeted at junior secondary school students, was first introduced in 2018. It is an extension of Robocon Hong Kong, where game rules are designed by taking key elements and tasks based on past Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) Robocon themes. The contest is organized by HKSTP, co-organised by The HKIE, and collaborated by IET.

The 4th Annual Mini Robocon Hong Kong was successfully held at Hong Kong Science Park on March 26, 2023. The theme of this year’s contest was “Tou-Hu” 「投壺」. The contestants developed robots to race by picking up dedicated bean bags and throwing them into pots at the opponent’s area to score points. 22 teams competed in the contest and demonstrated their knowledge and skills in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, as well as team spirit and sportsmanship.
