IT Division was established in 1990 and is one of the most prominent divisions in the HKIE.

Since its establishment, the IT Division has held regular events for members on a wide range of hot topics in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry. These topics include, but not limited to, the following areas:

1. Telecommunications
2. Software engineering
3. IT in education
4. IT in manufacturing
5. IT in logistic and supply chain management

Furthermore, our committee members are keeping a close eye on the latest development in the industry and constantly update members of the Division with their findings in the form of seminars, technical visits and conferences. In addition, we provide advice from a professional’s point of view by having our committee members sitting in advisory committees of tertiary institutions and the Office of the Telecommunications Authority of Hong Kong, thus contributing to the advancement of the industry and enhancing the well-being of the community in general.
